Under mounting international pressure and reports of mass starvation, Israel has announced daily 'tactical pauses' in its military operations in parts of Gaza to allow limited humanitarian aid to enter.
Despite these measures, aid agencies and the UN warn that the amount of food and supplies reaching Gaza is vastly insufficient to address the catastrophic hunger crisis. Airdrops by Jordan and the UAE have begun, but are criticized as dangerous, inadequate, and sometimes result in aid being looted or sold at exorbitant prices. Israeli officials continue to deny claims of widespread starvation, while humanitarian groups insist that only a full-scale, coordinated aid effort can prevent further deaths.
The situation remains dire, with many Gazans still unable to access basic necessities and aid organizations calling for an urgent ceasefire and unrestricted aid access.
